RF Path offers a sophisticated tool for performing propagation loss calculations for radio frequencies between 20 MHz and 20 GHz. Utilizing a variety of models, including the Irregular Terrain model, Okumura-Hata model, COST-231 Hata Extension, and COST-231 Walfish-Ikegami model, the application leverages electromagnetic theory alongside statistical analyses of terrain characteristics to effectively evaluate RF wave degradation over distance and its variability with respect to time and space.

Within the Irregular Terrain Model, users can select from two distinct prediction modes. The Area Prediction mode is designed for scenarios where specific terrain parameters are unavailable. Instead, it approximates these parameters based on terrain roughness and other environmental and statistical factors.

The second mode, Point-to-Point Prediction, allows users to input precise latitude and longitude coordinates for both the transmitter and receiver. This mode similarly incorporates environmental and statistical parameters in its calculations.

Results generated by RF Path can be conveniently saved to iCloud, emailed, or shared via social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, with outputs provided in CSV format.

In the Area Prediction mode, users are presented with a table alongside a graph that illustrates path loss over the specified distance. The graph can be viewed by rotating the device once the results table is displayed.

Conversely, the Point-To-Point Prediction mode presents a comprehensive table and graph detailing both path loss and the elevation profile of the RF path.
